Kitchen makeover franchise unveils 2016 plans at AGM and acknowledges best-performing franchises at its annual awards event

Dream Doors best year

Dream Doors, the UK’s largest kitchen makeover retailer, has announced record financial results for 2015, on the back of a year where it opened 12 new showrooms across the UK and Ireland and unveiled a comprehensive new recruitment and training programme for franchisees.

With its financial year running to the end of December, Dream Doors is set to achieve a 2015 turnover of £26M, an increase of more than 21% on 2014’s results. The average turnover per franchise has also increased to £500,000 in 2015.

“2015 has been a landmark year for Dream Doors, undoubtedly our best ever,” said Troy Tappenden, MD, Dream Doors. “The demand for kitchen makeovers continues to grow and we are now recruiting the very best franchisees to really make the most of that opportunity. The quality of our customer service across the network is a real strength and we are all looking ahead to 2016 with optimism that we can have an even better year than this one.”

Dream Doors’ best-performing franchises were recognised at a gala black-tie awards ceremony at the company’s AGM in early December. The evening ceremony followed a day where around 180 attendees were presented with the Dream Doors vision and strategy for 2016 and enjoyed an inspirational speech from businessman and Falkland’s War Veteran, Simon Weston OBE.

The Dream Doors award-winning franchisees were as follows:

  •  Franchisee of the Year – Dream Doors Poole
  •  Runner Up Franchisee of the Year – Dream Doors Oxford
  •  3rd Place Franchisee of the Year – Dream Doors Southampton
  •  Outstanding Performance North – Dream Doors Beverley
  •  Outstanding Performance South – Dream Doors Newbury
  •  Year on Year Growth North – Dream Doors Cambridge
  •  Year on Year Growth South – Dream Doors North Wiltshire
  •  Head Office Award North – North Somerset
  •  Head Office Award South – North Wiltshire
  •  Player’s Player – Dream Doors Poole (voted by other franchisees)

“It’s been a tremendous year across the network, but our award-winners have demonstrated truly outstanding performance throughout 2015,” continued Troy Tappenden. “The goal for us is to expand our network even further in 2016, reaching 75 showrooms by the end of the year. But what’s also important is to ensure our existing franchisees perform even better, by giving them all the support and training they need. With that support already in place, I’m confident 2016 will be another landmark year for Dream Doors.”
